Many people dislike Alera for being so week and pliable, but I love that it is so true to the book. The horrible, horrible adverbs. I love this series so much that I had to find character representations and theme songs and make a book trailer It completely baffles me how Kluver can manage to create compelling and heroic male characters, and yet make her own main character so insipid and immature.

Whereas I didn’t notice this in Legacy and was engrossed in the story, I did feel as if the pace was slightly affected in Allegiance. Personally, I dislike the dedication Alera and the author seem to have for Narian. She travels frequently to speak at middle and high schools, libraries, and book conventions.
