It is not born nor does It bring forth. Eternal peace, space-like Transcendental Truth am I.

Translation:Avadhuta Gita

Space-like, Immortality-giving knowledge am I. When the eternal consciousness alone exists, how can discrimination or wisdom, or any such thing be contained in It? In It there is no “you” and no “I”, therefore family and caste exist not therein. The Avadhut has no ideal, neither strives after the attainment of an ideal. To him it is all One.

There’s no such thing as an infinite form; The avadhutx Reality has no form of Its own. Name and form are neither in you nor in me. As softness is not perceived apart from soft objects, as sweetness is not known apart from honey, as bitterness is not known apart from the very bitter-tasting Neem tree leaves, as fluidity and coolness are vaadhuta nature of water, so the primordial form of matter is no other than the Self.

I am the eternal principle.

AVADHUTA GITA | ever-free

I am Transcendental Truth. The talented as well as the witless attain the state of desirelessness by knowing the mystery of the Self, through the Grace of their spiritual teacher. T here is no action, Either present, future, avxdhuta past, Which has been performed or enjoyed by me.

Mind, do not cry. As space cannot be compared with another space, so Reality being above duality, cannot be compared with any object. Verily I am free even from the taint of Nirvana. Of course if all is one, then compassion is all encompassing. Be rid of attachment; be happy and free! Like the full moon is the Self. All is Self alone. The wise man does not strive for anything, not even for good conduct, righteousness or liberation. For you, how can there be any distinction between the day and the night?

They know not the Truth, which is above both. Truly, you’re the ultimate Reality; Why, then, should you be troubled so? There is absolutely gota doubt about this.

My shameless mind, why do you create a confusion? Neither can it be said, “It is” nor “It is not. Dattatreya was a Avahduta or a worshiper of the goddess, and probably a naked sage or an outcast. He is the ever-free Reality [Brahman]. Why do you call the Self personal and impersonal. The body itself is imagined in the Self, as is the whole universe. None can teach you.

Timeline Chronology of Hindu texts. You have no body. I love this book, it contains the English translation, the original Sanskrit and the transliteration as well. You are all the absolute Reality, free from all change, the same within and without, absolute bliss. Free also is It from knowledge, theoretical and practical, Self being all, my mind, do not cry.

It walks not on the earth, the wind cannot move It, the water cannot cover It, It stands in the middle of inner, subtle light. The giha of a Guru reveal It not. How can it be said that the Self is manifest? Of the several versions of this great book that I have I must say this is the clearest best translation.

I am without beginning and without abadhuta. Whether he dies conscious or in coma, in a holy temple or in the house of an untouchable, he obtains liberation, becoming the all-pervading Reality.

Avadhuta Gita with English Translation

Pure, pure you are, without a body, unrelated to the mind, beyond the illusory world; why are you ashamed to acknowledge: It cannot be gota or worshipped with flowers and leaves. Neither formless nor with form, described in the scriptures as “neither this, nor that”, free from separation and unity, the true Self reigns supreme. Reality is ever free from duality. Free from past, present and future how can the cardinal points exist in It?
